The Philippine film and entertainment industry
continues to shine, as movie going popular as ever. This is probably because
going to the Philippine movies is one of the affordable forms of
entertainment as tickets cost about P60. Apart from that, the increasing
production of foreign movies especially American films each year as well as
the increasing popularity of American films among movie-goers in the
Philippines has also attributed to the growth of the Philippine film
industry. American films with themes of romance, action-adventure and
science fiction are hot favorites in the Philippines.
Philippine cinema is also big in the country with the industry almost rivals
that of Bombay or Bollywood. Most Philippine cinemas can be found in large
shopping centers like Araneta Center, Harrison Plaza, and Makati Commercial
